Forest Area Essay Winners
Two students from the senior class were chosen for their essays by the Forest County Republican party this month. This year’s topic was “Why is the right to vote in national and local elections important?” Senator Scott Hutchinson is shown here presenting each of the girls with an award of $200 for their one-page, original responses to the question. The girls and their families were also invited to dinner with some other prominent Republican party members. Abby Worley, from West Forest, is in the middle and Aletta Summers, from East Forest, is on the right.
