Meet the New West Forest Principal

West Forest Families,

I hope that this message finds you enjoying all that summer brings. As I have just finished my first week at West, I want to take a moment to introduce myself as the new principal.

My name is Amy Beers. I live in Warren with my husband, Jeff, and my two children, Jared and Carly. My husband has worked at SCI-Forest for almost 20 years. My son is a senior at Thiel College. My daughter is a sophomore at Allegheny College. After teaching Spanish in Jamestown, NY for several years, I began my administrative career with the Warren County School District. For 15 years at WCSD I served as principal in Sheffield, Youngsville, and Eisenhower Schools. As each of these schools is the center of its community, I value and understand how a school is the focal point of the town in which it serves. It is those experiences that draws me to want to serve Forest Area School District. I look forward to what lies ahead as we work together to educate the school-aged children of this community.

My goal is to support each member of our community by creating a school environment where students feel valued, inspired, and encouraged to excel academically, socially, and emotionally. I will collaborate closely with our dedicated educators to ensure that we provide the highest quality educational environment possible and with our families to provide a supportive atmosphere that values the school as an integral part of the community.

I am excited about the opportunities that lie ahead for us as. With your support and collaboration, though I recognize the challenges, I am confident that we will continue to build upon achievements and reach new ones too.

I want to thank the FASD Board Members and Mrs. Hetrick for the opportunity to serve as your Principal. I look forward to meeting each of you personally and working together to make a positive difference in the lives of our students. West Forest is a truly unique and special place to learn and achieve! I am genuinely excited to be part of it!
