Visit to Port Farms
The PTO at West Forest recently sponsored a trip to Port Farms for the Pre K, Kindergarten, First and Second grade students. Each of the children received a pumpkin to take home as part of their admission. They got to enjoy a hayride and practiced counting scarecrows. There were balloon jumps, as well as a corn box to play in and the playground for exercise. The children also saw the farm’s bee hives and learned about pollination and honey bees.
